Clorox Named Official Cleaning Products Partner of the United Center

May 6, 2021

The Clorox Company, a global leader in cleaning and disinfection, and the United Center today announced a multiyear agreement that makes Clorox the Official Cleaning Products Partner to the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks and the arena.

Through this collaboration, the United Center will build upon its robust health and safety protocols with Clorox to provide cleaning and disinfecting products, including Clorox® Total 360® System electrostatic sprayers, for the arena and its accompanying training facilities – Fifth Third Arena, the Chicago Blackhawks Community Ice Rink, and the Chicago Bulls’ Advocate Center.

Clorox will also work alongside both teams to support future community impact programs within the Chicago area as part of this arrangement.

“The guest experience has always been top priority and the United Center has taken significant steps in providing a safer and healthier environment for our employees, our players and our fans,” said Joe Myhra, Sr. Vice President of Operations & Administration, United Center. “Clorox is an important addition to our roster, and their industry-leading suite of cleaning products will play an essential role as we prepare to welcome fans back to the arena for games this week.”

“We’re proud to be working with Chicago’s world-class sports franchises and the United Center to help support health and safety with Clorox products,” said Ed Huber, Vice President of Strategic Growth and Chief Sustainability Officer at The Clorox Company. “Together we can help give fans peace of mind as they return to cheering on their favorite teams.”

The United Center is set to welcome fans back to the arena in a limited capacity beginning with Friday’s Bulls game against the Boston Celtics (May 7) and Sunday’s Blackhawks game against the Dallas Stars (May 9). As part of this reopening, the arena and teams are implementing increased health and safety protocols at every step of the fan’s journey on gameday in accordance with all NBA, NHL, Centers for Disease Control, and state and local guidelines.
